Angola Receives First Cervical Cancer Vaccines On the morning of Monday, September 16, Angola received 1.4 million doses of the cervical cancer vaccine for the first time. The vaccine, CECOLIN, will be administered to girls aged 9 to 12. Produced by INOVAX Laboratories, it is pre-qualified by the World Health Organization (WHO) and is considered highly effective and safe. Only one dose is needed to provide lifelong protection. Globally, over 50 million doses have been administered without any adverse reactions. The arrival of the vaccines at Luanda's 4 de Fevereiro Airport was attended by Angola's Minister of Health, Sílvia Lutucuta, Minister of Education, Luísa Maria Alves Grilo, and representatives from WHO and UNICEF in Angola.
